Exciting News

We are so thankful for the Lord's provision during this whole adoption journey.  We found out about a matching grant through HANDinHAND Christian Adoption, Inc. from some friends.  We applied 2 weeks ago and found out today that we have been awarded a dollar for dollar matching grant up to $6,000.  If we raise $3,000 from family and friends, HANDinHAND will match those funds for a total grant of $6,000.  AWESOME!!!   We want as many people to know about this amazing opportunity as we hope to receive a referral of our little boy in May.  Here is the letter that we will send to family and friends this week:

Dear Family and Friends,
      
     As many of you know, we are in the process of bringing another child into our family through adoption.  We are so excited that the Lord has called us once again to this amazing journey.  Landon, Macy, and Brady can't wait to welcome home their brother by the end of this year.  We have felt led to adopt a little boy from the Democratic Republic of Congo and hope to receive a referral in May.

     Since we have adopted before, we understand the many joys and challenges that come along the way.  We know the greatest joy is welcoming our son into our family and the greatest challenge is finances.  The cost of adoption is approximately $25,000 which includes a home study, adoption agency fees, attorney fees, travel expenses, and more.

       We were recently awarded a matching funds grant to help with the expenses of our adoption through Hand in Hand Christian Adoption, Inc. a non-profit private operating foundation.  Hand in Hand will match any funds that are donated through our friends and family for the expenses of our adoption.  All funds received through our friends and family will be matched dollar for dollar by Hand in Hand up to our awarded grant amount.   All donations are tax-deductible.

To contribute, please make your donation payable to “Hand in Hand Christian Adoption” postmarked by May 14th, 2013 to the following address.  It must be postmarked by May 14th or we will not receive your donation.  Also for tax purposes, please include our name on the outside of the envelope only…do not put our name on the check itself.
