Snow Day

Since living in Southern IL for 3 years, we expected a lot more snow/ice storms during this time. This past week, we had the biggest storm since living here! On Tuesday, we got 2 - 3 inches of sleet/freezing rain. We got our man-made sled (cardboard box) and took off down the hills in our backyard. We played for about 2 hours that day with great sledding conditions. Landon could not get enough of it! Then on Wednesday, we got 4 - 5 inches of snow on top of the freezing rain. How fun! Since our cardboard boxes didn't last the next day, we moved to plan B: the kiddie swimming pool! We had a blast! We expect the snow to stay around until atleast Sunday! Yeah!!!
