LID

We officially have a Log in Date with China! We were told on vacation that our LID was May 8 but we found out this week that it is officially MAY 16!!! Yeah!!! We were so excited to get any date in May with everything going on over there right now. You can check out our new Lilypie counter (on the right) to keep up with how long we have been waiting since LID! The picture above is the Chinese symbol for the word LOVE!!!

Visit with Uncle Matt

We got the chance to meet with my brother on our way home from vacation. He lives in Knoxville so we stopped off to check out his new apartment, take him to lunch, and let him and Landon play together. Matthew hasn't seen him since Christmas so it was great that we got to hang out with him for a little while. Landon was so excited to see his Uncle Matt and immediately started wrestling with him, picking at him, and getting him when he wasn't looking. We can't wait for Matthew to come stay with us a week in July. We are going to have a blast!

Meeting of the minds

Any boy loves playing with cars whether you are 2 or 26!

Fun in the Sun

We got the opportunity to go on vacation with my parents to Hilton Head with FREE lodging. We jumped at the chance to go to the beach for a week. (Jason loves the beach!) It took Landon a little while to warm up to the ocean and sand. After that, he couldn't get enough of it. He loved to dig in the sand, make starfish with his bucket, find shells with Memaw and Pops, save starfish by throwing them back into the ocean, count the dead jellyfish washed up on the beach, and explore anything in the sand. Every morning, he would wake up saying, "beach now!" We had a blast and enjoyed making special memories with Landon and family. Enjoy the pictures . . .

Memaw bought us all water guns to play with but somehow hers was bigger than ours. Ummm!

One morning, we decided to play mini putt-putt to carry on the tradition to play on every family vacation. We couldn't find go carts or skee ball to play though. Maybe next time! Landon did a really good job with "bolf!" He ended up coming in last place but we expect a huge improvement before next year. We have already been practicing to atleast beat Memaw next year. HA HA!!!

Fun in the Sun 2

One of the days we decided to head to Harbour Town. One of Jason's friends was staying in that area and said that we would enjoy it. Well, Landon loved it! He was so excited to see the lighthouse and still talks about it. He has a magnet to remember the special lighthouse. We also got a chance to eat at The Crazy Crab for lunch while there in Harbour Town. Landon really got into the crabs, starfish, jellyfish, and other ocean life while at the beach. In the picture, he is showing you his sign language for "bab." So cute!

Pops found this crab on the beach one morning and dug it up with a shovel so we could watch him. After Pops put it back under the sand, Landon wanted a chance to dig him up with the "shobel." So, Landon got down there and dug him right up. He was so proud of himself.
Landon was being silly trying to hug us around the neck for the picture.
He obviously takes after his Daddy!
Landon enjoyed rocking in these chairs while trying to take the perfect picture with me. As you can see, he was preoccupied with the rocking instead of the camera.

Landon's favorite part of the vacation was the lighthouse. He wants to see this picture of him and Daddy atleast once a day.
