Hopscotch

It has been beautiful here the last few days so Landon and I decided to shoot on the "Big Goal" this morning. We headed to the store first in search of sidewalk chalk. I wanted to buy the kind that had a chalk holder to reduce some of the dust that gets on you. Landon managed to stay pretty clean besides putting his hand over his mouth to make a purple half-mustache. It was hilarious and he couldn't figure out why Mommy was laughing so hard. I took him inside to see it and he started laughing too.

When I opened the sidewalk chalk, Landon immediately said, "hopscotch!" He watches an episode of Curious George where George is the Hopscotch Champion in his neighborhood. I am pretty sure that Landon would be the Hopscotch Champion around here too. (retired people) We are heading to the beach next week so we should have beautiful pictures of the water and fun times.

As you can see from our Lilypie ticker on the side, we have been waiting almost 3 weeks since turning in our dossier to China. They said that it usually takes about a month to get a Log In Date but the people before us got one in 8 days and 12 days. So, I am assuming like everything else in our process; it will be awhile. Ha ha ha!!!

Birthday Party

Landon went to his first birthday party of a girl turning 5 years old. They rented out a place with 7 inflatables that had a big slide, an obstacle course, and jump houses. All the others kids loved playing on the inflatables except Landon. He took one look at it and said, "NO!" Then, he found an area with soccer goals, basketball goals, and all kinds of balls. So, the whole party Landon played with the balls by himself. He was having the time of his life!

We managed to get him on the joust inflatable only to have him jump back off! Well, at least he tried it!
Here he is watching the little girl blow out her candles. Then, it was cake time! He chose chocolate cake over white. Then, he wanted Root Beer because that is what the other boys were getting. (he has never had it) So, Mommy helped him get Sprite instead!

Yummy!

Veggie Tales

Landon was able to visit with Bob and Larry at LifeWay! He was so excited to see them and was not shy about taking his picture with them. He went right up to them and starting trying to hug them. The sun was in his eyes so it was hard to get a good picture of Landon. Bob and Larry did pretty good and didn't squint at all. When we were leaving, Landon gave them both high fives. He was looking for them on our way back from Carbondale and said, "no Bob and Lawwy at WifeWay! On no!" He is hilarious!

VBS Preview

Since I am in charge of VBS this year, we have the Worship Rally DVD of the songs. The DVD has the VBS music plus the movements to the songs. Landon watches it about 10 - 15 times a day. So, he knows more of the movements than I know! It is amazing and precious to watch him do it! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

The first one is the theme song of VBS called Outrigger Island. He calls it, "OI!"

It continues with the rest of the song! He is WONDERFUL!!!

The next one is called "My God is Real!"

The last one is called "Jesus Is!" It calls it "little boy!"

Yeah! We are finally DTC as of May 2, 2008. We got the email that said "your dossier is on its way to China now!" It will be another month before we hear about our LID (Log in Date)! We are celebrating this milestone in our adoption process! More to come . . .
